应我院邀请，6月27日，香港城市大学讲座教授、上海交通大学“长江学者”讲座教授杨彤博士在砺志楼114为我院师生作了一场题为《Boundary Layers for Compressible Flow with non-slip Boundary Condition》的学术报告。相关老师和部分研究生聆听了此次报告，报告由院长李克典教授主持。

报告会上，杨教授主要从Limit of viscous flow to inviscid flow、Extremely difficult with non-slip boundary condition、Partial list of key well-posedness theories、Works on bounday layer separation and ill-posedness theories、Boundary layer for compressible flow等方面进行了介绍，在场的师生受益匪浅。

杨彤，“长江学者”讲座教授、国家自然科学二等奖获得者、首届国际华人数学家大会晨兴数学奖银奖获得者，香港和澳门青年学者联合研究基金获得者，香港城市大学讲座教授、博士生导师。杨彤与其合作者引入了新的广义熵泛函——“刘杨泛函”并对双曲守恒律组建立了一个圆满的适定性理论，这一新的思路已被同行应用及推广到其他的数学领域。对玻尔兹曼方程，杨彤与其合作者引入了新的宏观与微观分解，建立了玻尔兹曼方程与流体动力学方程的一条直接桥梁，得到了基本波与解的存在性与稳定性等一系列重要结果。2005年至今每年度获得Competitive Earmarked Research Grant of Hong Kong。现任“Analysis and Applications”、“Kinetic and Related Models”主编，“Communications on Pure and Applied Analysis”、“Acta Mathematicae Applicatae Sinica(Chinese Version)”编委。
